Armeria pseudarmeria ‘Ballerina red’, or sea thrift, is an evergreen herbaceous perennial that is very popular plant.

It produces clumps of silvery grey-green, grass-like foliage, from which short stems emerge in summer, bearing small round clusters of red flowers.

It has a long flowering period, from June through to September, and looks equally good in a border, edging a path, or in a gravel garden.

It is fully hardy, drought tolerant and copes well with salt-laden coastal winds.
