Ceanothus ‘Concha’ or Californian Lilac is an evergreen shrub with arching branches and a dense growth habit.
In April and May it will produce a profusion of indigo flowers, which are brilliant for attracting bees, butterflies and other pollinators.
It likes full sun and moist but well-drained soil.
The Royal Horticultural Society has given it its prestigious Award of Garden Merit (AGM).
