Dryopteris erythrosora, often know as the autumn fern or Japanese shield fern,

It is a species of fern in the family Dryopteridaceae,

native to east Asia from China and Japan south to the Philippines, growing in light woodland shade on low mountains or hills.

This variety is a striking semi-evergreen fern. Its triangular-shaped fronds have a copper tint when young and slowly mature to dark green.

It grows to a good size and likes the shade!!
