One of the easiest varieties to grow , reliably producing a heavy crop of large red gooseberries in mid July which have a sweet flesh and tangy skin.

They are delicious eaten fresh from the tree, but can also be used for cooking.

Happy in sun or part shade in a sheltered spot. Good in any well drained soil.
