Plant out from April to mid-June for harvesting from January to May.

Like other brassicas, purple-sprouting broccoli thrives in a fairly heavy, alkaline soil.

Plant out 8-10cm apart.

Start harvesting the following spring when the spears have formed but before the flowers start to open.
