A fairly new asparagus to the UK,
Roem van Washington produces creamy white spears that are thicker than those of traditional green asparagus with a delicate flavour.
Pack of three roots/crowns
Top size roots.
Handy Tip.
Dig a trench 30cm wide x 20cm deep and create a 10cm high mound of soil within the trench.
Sit the asparagus crowns on top of the mound, 30cm apart, spreading the roots out on either side.
Cover with 5cm of soil. As stems grow, keep covering with more soil, until the trench is completely filled.
